Watch this Drumcode party aftermovie from Gashouder at Awakenings featuring Alan Fitzpatrick/Joseph Capriati

These techno parties held at the Gashouder every year during ADE in the Netherlands are almost legendary because it's such a beautiful venue that offers unique pyrotechnics seen nowhere else. In this video, you'll get to watch as Adam Bayer narrates this video from their Drumcode label party at the Gashouder:

Alan Fitzpatrick and Joseph Capriati were featured within the video as they both have situated themselves prominently within the venerable techno label.

If you live in Montreal, you can catch a very special double bill at the Stereo Nightclub on Friday, November 29th as both Alan Fitzpatrick and Joseph Capriati are booked on the same night. Click here for tickets.

If you live in Toronto and haven't booked up your Saturday night yet, Alan Fitzpatrick will be playing live at Toika Lounge. Click here for ticket information.

Beatport's top Monday releases (Sneijder, Fitzpatrick, JOOF, Schulz)

Every Monday of each week is usually a huge release date from many labels on Beaport and this week was no exception. Here are my favourite new releases out of the bunch, all available now on Beaport:

Neptune Project feat. Polly Strange - 'The Inside' (Sneijder Remix) Beatport

Renato Cohen - 'Pontape 2013 Remake' (Alan Fitzpatrick Remix) Beaport

This is the first track from JOOF's upcoming album: John '00' Fleming - 'WKO' (Original Mix) Beaport

Markus Schulz - 'The Spiritual Gateway (Transmission Theme 2013)' Beatport (VIA Dancing Astronaut)

Alan Fitzpatrick turned up the heat in Miami

Even though there was a low turn out and only "20% of the crowd knew who Marco Bailey and Alan Fitzpatrick were" at the Mansion Club in Miami, Alan Fitzpatrick managed to play a great set nonetheless:

"The big man gets behind the controls with a giant smile on his face and a wearing a disposition as if he was playing a sold out show at The Ministry of Sound. Usually when a DJ gets on to a so/so crowd on a so/so night you can see it in their face. Not Alan."

I've seen my fair share of shows where the DJ delivers a C-level set when either there was a low turn out or something went wrong with the equipment. It is in these situations where the best DJs in the business make it a great night regardless of the obstacles. I've personally seen Showtek and Birdy Nam Nam rise beyond these challenges, and I'm happy to read that Alan Fitzpatrick has done it too.

Best Releases of the Week (Jan 7-11th)

This could be a regular thing I do on this site. All of the tracks listed have been officially released this week on Beatport, enjoy:

Hans Bouffmyhre - Shine (Original Mix):

Eximinds - Revolved (Original Mix):

Justice - Helix (Gesaffelstein VIsion Remix):

Adam Beyer & Alan Fitzpatrick - Human Reason (Len Faki Remix):

Mark Van Dale with Enrico - 'Water Verve' (Leon Bolier Remix):

Techno: Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick - 'Human Reason' (Len Faki Remix)

Drumcode releases another imminently danceable track with Len Faki's remix of 'Human Reason' by Alan Fitzpatrick and Adam Beyer which was originally released in 2011. This 9 minute track takes you in deep into the darker side of techno with plenty of dramatic horns added reminiscent of the 'BWONG!' effect that you might hear in the Inception, Prometheus or World War Z trailers. Len faki's remix steps up the intensity of the original mix into a memorable reinvention that will take its rightful place on any playlist.
