Bal En Blanc finalized their lineup and it's absolutely massive

The 21st edition of Bal En Blanc (BeB) will take place on Sunday, April 5th at the historic Bell Centre. With their lineup recently finalized featuring a slew of superstar names, this year's event is a must-see. Even though this edition of BeB is on one stage, the lineup still holds true to the spirit of all past BeB's as they invited a strong mix of mainstream, trance, and underground artists that dominate their respective genres.

Alesso is no stranger to the big room scene and recently secured radio success with his hit "Heroes" featuring the vocals of Tove Lo. With 1 million tracks sold of "Heroes" alone in the U.S., Alesso is primed for a huge 2015. David Guetta is making yet another BeB appearance but this time he's ready to unleash fresh tunes from his new album released late last year.

Trance is alive and well at this year's BeB with Dash Berlin, W&W, and Markus Schulz headlining. But one of the most anticipated sets of the night will most certainly be the back-to-back set with Aly & Fila and John O'Callaghan. Expect a journey between melodic sing-a-longs and 138 BPM craziness for that one.

The night will close out with a special closing back-to-back set with Danny Tenaglia and Nicole Moudaber. This combination of two of the biggest names within the underground scene will bring the Stereo crowd to the Bell Centre while everyone will get a strong dose of the deeper house and techno vibes that will emanate from the stage in the early morning hours.

Tickets are still available but they are selling fast so if you want to go to this year's massive Bal En Blanc, you can grab general admission tickets for $149+ or bleacher only seats for $59+ - Click below to buy now:

The Veld Music Festival surprises fans with 4 noteworthy DJs added to the lineup

Today the Veld Music Festival surprises fans by announcing 4 DJs to the lineup that offers up a lot of diverse styles to the Toronto festival. Whereas last year there was a huge focus on big room DJs, this year they make a statement by booking the legendary New York DJ Danny Tenaglia and Toronto DJ of underground fame, Carlo Lio. There is also something for bass fans as 12th Planet and Pretty Lights were also added to the lineup.

The important takeaway from this announcement is that the Veld Music Festival is branching out to more genres of EDM this year and that you can expect more underground and bass/dubstep DJs in future lineup releases. EDM Canada fully supports festivals booking on a more diverse lineup that allows fans to stage hop and experience new DJs that they may never have thought of if these DJs came to Toronto by themselves. The Veld Music Festival will continue to add to their DJ lineup everyday until April 3rd.

Update: the organizers have since added Dirty South, Adventure Club, Thomas Gold, GTA,  Sub Focus, Modestep, John Digweed, and Victor Calderone to the lineup:

Legendary DJ Danny Tenaglia to play 15 hours straight on April 1st in Montreal

Yep it's true, Danny Tenaglia will be playing for an astounding 15 hours starting at noon and ending at 3 am on April 1st at one of the best clubs in Canada and possibly the world, Stereo in Montreal. Known for his long DJ sets which date back to his days in the New York and Miami scene in the 1980s, he has been known for playing epic 10+ hour sets in Montreal for the past few years. But the difference with this upcoming event is that this is the first time to my knowledge that Danny Tenaglia and Stereo have announced a full open to close 15 hour set from the legendary DJ.

This event has solidified Montreal as the best place to be in Canada to go for the Easter weekend as Danny Tenaglia's set is preceded by the all-night white party Bal en Blanc that will take place the night before at the Palais Des Congres de Montreal featuring the likes of Armin, Markus Schulz, Calvin Harris, Nicole Moudaber and much more. With this latest event announcement, Montreal is now offering a non-stop party from Sunday night until Tuesday morning.

Who will dare to go the full 30 hours and secure EDM fan immortality? If you do, make sure to hit me up on Twitter at @edm_canada and I will give you a special shout out!
