Villa Paradizo, Montreal's free EDM festival, is coming back this September with Dannic and Cash Cash

Villa Paradizo is a free festival that takes place at Rue Crescent in the heart of Montreal and it's coming back for its second year with a strong lineup. This year's festivities will be led by headliners Dannic, Cash Cash, David Tort, and Helena. There is also a whole contingent of local DJs from Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto who will be playing including Domeno (MTL), Joe Ghost (TO), and Mister Parker (Ott).

Did I say it was free? You can't beat the price and location for Villa Paradizo as they transform Crescent Street into a paved dancefloor for 2 days. Are you going?

Giuseppe Ottaviani and Dannic added to Bal en Blanc lineup

Two huge new additions to the Bal en Blanc lineup occurred this week. The first and more obvious one was the addition of fellow Revealed Recordings label mate Dannic to the Hardwell stage. This completes the trifecta of Hardwell-Dyro-Dannic who have been accustomed to touring North America together.

The trance stage got a big boost with Giuseppe Ottaviani, who will be bringing his live act to Montreal on April 20th at the Palais Des Congres. Ottaviani rarely comes to North America so this will be a real treat for ardent trance lovers. His live act is something to behold and he will be one trance act that you will not want to miss.

Regular tickets are still available for $149+, click here for more ticket information.

The new #1 DJ in the world will be in Canada for 2 parties on New Year's Eve

Hardwell, voted as the #1 DJ in the DJ Mag top 100 poll for 2013, has just announced that he will be partying with us Canadians to ring in 2014. He will be in Calgary playing at the BMO Centre and in Vancouver at the Pacific Coliseum for two special New Year's Eve parties:

Hardwell is not one to forget his close friends as he has Dyro supporting him in Calgary, while Dannic will be joined by Firebeatz, Sick Individuals, and more in Vancouver. Dyro and Dannic have already joined Hardwell in a Canadian tour last year so they are no strangers to the Canadian winter cold! You might ask, how will Hardwell be able to play at two separate parties, on the same night, in two different provinces, for New Year's Eve? I thought about it too but if I would venture a guess: it will involve a private jet, fast cars, and taking full advantage of the hour time difference between Calgary and Vancouver.

Tickets go on sale for these two huge stadium New Year's Eve events on Monday, November 4th at 9:00 am in Vancouver, and 10:00 am in Calgary. Click below for more information:

Hardwell's Canadian tour hits a snag in Kingston when Dyro was "kicked in the face"

Hardwell is currently touring across Canada with Dyro and Dannic when the following event as described by Hardwell and Dyro occurred on their 2nd stop in Kingston, Ontario at Stages Nightclub last night.

Hardwell and Dyro explained the situation over Twitter:

Clearly this is an unfortunate situation and I hope Dyro recovers from his injuries. At this time I'm not sure who exactly "kicked" Dyro "in the face" but if more details surface I will update this page.

Hardwell, Dyro, and Dannic will be playing tonight in Waterloo and tomorrow in Montreal to a sold out crowd at the New City Gas. I'm sure I'm not the only Canadian EDM fan that wishes Dyro, Hardwell and his crew the best for the rest of their Canadian tour.

*Update: A comment made by "K-Towns Finest" gives a different version of the events that occurred that night. In response I have updated the post that includes quotations in the title and body of the original post. If Stages Nightclub would like to make an official statement about the events that night, they can send it to email@edmcanada.com and it will be posted.

*Update #2: Here is another perspective on that night posted on a Wordpress blog called "The Anonymous Raver".
