Igloofest and Brrrrr! reviewed

Igloofest and the Brrrrr! Winter Music Festival are two of Canada's largest outdoor festivals taking place in Montreal and Toronto respectively. I recently read two good articles reviewing both of these events and they're both good reads:

Billboard recently visited Montreal's Igloofest:

“Fifty percent of the crowd is not here for electronic music,” explains Michel Quintal, one of the co-founders and Director of Programming and Sponsorships for Igloofest. “They’re here for the experience, the fun, the party. Our job is to find those creative, interesting, artistic DJs who can also please those people too.”

Press Play Pro was there to review the Brrrrr! Music Festival and according to them Bassjackers and Sharam stole the show:

"Sharam was then up to close the night and he came in hard with a heavy hitting baseline that shook the dome.  After a few tracks, he was able to get the groove right back at where it needed to be and everyone was able to get into the music, forgetting about their surroundings."

The Brrrrr! Winter Music Festival returns to Toronto in February

On Saturday, February 1st, the Brrrrr! Winter Music Festival returns to Echo Beach in Toronto. This festival is celebrated outdoors (dress warm!) but makes up for it by providing what promises to be an "extra-sensory experience" and "stunning visual displays". Just like the inaugural Brrrrr! festival, the 2014 edition promises another diverse lineup that will put a few genres in the spotlight. Last year they brought in the likes of Moby, Deniz Koyu, Dubfire, Danny Avila and more - so when Electronic Nation promises a diverse lineup, they mean it.

Here's the official aftermovie for the 2013 edition of Brrrrr!:

Tickets to the 2014 Brrrrr! Winter Music festival goes on sale to the general public starting on November 22nd at 10 am. General admission tickets will range from $37.50-$47.50, while VIP tickets will go for $77.50. Click here for more ticket information.
