New series: Hottest tracks of the week

Here's a series that I will be doing every week on EDM Canada which I think fans of electronic dance music will find very useful. It's official: The Guvernment/Koolhaus is closing on January 31st, 2015 after 17 years of operation

Unless you were living under a rock yesterday then you probably already know of the news that after 17 years of operation and home to so many epic parties featuring the best DJ talent in the world, the Guvernment and Koolhaus will officially close on January 31st, 2015.

The Toronto Star reported over a year ago that the grounds of Guv/Koolhaus had been sold to a developer, so the likelihood that the land will be developed into new lakeside condos is quite high.

Yesterday was a sad day for Toronto nightlife fans and I only hope that something on the scale of the Guvernment will one day open up someplace else. Meanwhile Ink Entertainment will be using the Sound Academy, Tattoo, and clubs like Uniun to organize their DJ events moving forward in 2015.
