Read the story behind how Boys Noize first heard a Skrillex track

Nest HQ caught up with Boys Noize in a lenghty interview filled with interesting tidbits. In this following answer, read how Boys Noize describes how he came to listen to his first Skrillex track - it's quite amusing:

"That’s a good question. I think it was around 2011, shortly after I met him. The first thing I noticed was the release on Deadmau5’s label. To be honest, I didn’t pay much attention to it at first (laughs), because that label wasn’t too much my sound — but then more and more people kept talking about it, and I was like, ‘Alright, let me check it out,’ and actually I really loved what I was hearing. It reminded me a little bit of what I’ve heard from Justice, in a new way, in a different tempo, and with different samples. I really liked it. I was definitely impressed by his production skills."

Calling all Canadian hardstyle fans, James Bayliss celebrated the one year anniversary of his show on Q Dance called "The Polar Express" last week with a special 3 hour plus show featuring an epic progression from big room and trance to hardstyle. Check it out:

Here's an excerpt of what James had to say about his first year anniversary of his show:

"Hey ladies and gentlemen! Well here it is, the anticipated 1 year anniversary of The Polar Express.

I cant form proper words to express how much this show means to me and how much it means to me that I can reach out to thousands of people from around the globe every month.

The success of this show is all thanks to the fans and the artists who take part in this show as either a listener or an artist. Without both, this podcast would be nothing."

Congratulations!
