Nest HQ caught up with Boys Noize in a lenghty interview filled with interesting tidbits. In this following answer, read how Boys Noize describes how he came to listen to his first Skrillex track - it's quite amusing: 

"That’s a good question. I think it was around 2011, shortly after I met him. The first thing I noticed was the release on Deadmau5’s label. To be honest, I didn’t pay much attention to it at first (laughs), because that label wasn’t too much my sound — but then more and more people kept talking about it, and I was like, ‘Alright, let me check it out,’ and actually I really loved what I was hearing. It reminded me a little bit of what I’ve heard from Justice, in a new way, in a different tempo, and with different samples. I really liked it. I was definitely impressed by his production skills."

Skrillex will be making his return to Canada in late December with 2 gigs in Western Canada. The first will be on Thursday, December 26th in Vancouver as part of the Contact Winter Music Festival, and the next night he will be in Edmonton on December 27th at the Shaw Conference Centre.
