The production company behind the Golden Globes are planning a new DJ Awards show

Found this New York Post article via @DJLips:

"Dick Clark Productions, the producer of the Golden Globes, is looking to cash in on rising ratings and advertiser demand for TiVo-proof TV events with a first-of-its-kind awards show to celebrate vinyl-spinning DJs, The Post has learned"

If the company behind the Golden Globes, American Music Awards, and the Academy of Country Music Awards wants to get into the EDM game, I say bring it on.

Two reviews of UMF 15 that are worth reading

Found the following two reviews of the Ultra Music Festival to be worth a look:

Beatmill's 'A Different View of Ultra Music 15' gives you a review of the stuff that we as UMF TV watchers at home didn't get a chance to check out as it covered the action from such stages as Toolroom Knights, Surface, Bayfront, and of course the Mega Structure.

Freshnewtracks laid out their best and worst moments from this year's Ultra Music Festival weekend 2. I give them extra brownie points for picking the Boys Noize set as their favourite from weekend 2. When I compare the Boys Noize set I heard at UMF versus the one I heard live at New City Gas, the Miami set won hands down. Alex Ridha, who spent months honing his live show during the Out of the Black album tour, showed off the results of his hard work by creating a special show for fans in Miami.
