Legendary DJ Danny Tenaglia to play 15 hours straight on April 1st in Montreal

Yep it's true, Danny Tenaglia will be playing for an astounding 15 hours starting at noon and ending at 3 am on April 1st at one of the best clubs in Canada and possibly the world, Stereo in Montreal. Known for his long DJ sets which date back to his days in the New York and Miami scene in the 1980s, he has been known for playing epic 10+ hour sets in Montreal for the past few years. But the difference with this upcoming event is that this is the first time to my knowledge that Danny Tenaglia and Stereo have announced a full open to close 15 hour set from the legendary DJ.

This event has solidified Montreal as the best place to be in Canada to go for the Easter weekend as Danny Tenaglia's set is preceded by the all-night white party Bal en Blanc that will take place the night before at the Palais Des Congres de Montreal featuring the likes of Armin, Markus Schulz, Calvin Harris, Nicole Moudaber and much more. With this latest event announcement, Montreal is now offering a non-stop party from Sunday night until Tuesday morning.

Who will dare to go the full 30 hours and secure EDM fan immortality? If you do, make sure to hit me up on Twitter at @edm_canada and I will give you a special shout out!

DJ Pauly D voted 'Best DJ Of All Time' in a Ryan Seacrest poll

Link.

DJ Pauly D was voted as 'Best DJ Of All Time' according to a poll conducted on Ryan Seacrest's website yesterday. Guess who was voted number 2 out of the Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto, Samantha Ronson (Lindsay Lohan's ex-gf), and David Guetta? Of course it has to be Samantha Ronson as she gained more votes than the Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto, and David Guetta combined!

Here are the final results:

DJ Pauly D (8, 087 votes) 41.63%
Samantha Ronson (5,756 votes) 29.63%
Swedish House Mafia (2,274 votes) 11.71%
Tiesto (1,778 votes) 9.15%
David Guetta (1,542 votes) 8%

Laughing aside, this poll, including the final results, just shows how much further EDM has to go until even a fraction of the American public is educated on this whole movement.

New Daft Punk teaser posted on their official Soundcloud page

Daft Punk released another teaser which gives us just a bit more than the 15 second funky guitar rift from Nile Rodgers but not nearly enough to satisfy fans as the buzz continues to rise for the next album. Judging from the increased activity from Daft Punk's side I don't think we'll have to wait much longer for this album to be released!

Update: It looks like Daft Punk took down all of the tracks on their Soundcloud page, domage.
