Another excellent article from Philip Sherburne from SPIN discussing the tension between the need to create good music and having to play a constant stream of gigs as your only means to earn income in EDM.

Since you can no longer earn a good living simply producing music from the comfort of your own studio, producers have no choice but to DJ even though they might not like it or be good at it. These pressures can lead to a decrease of the overall creativity of top EDM producers. There are a lot of great topics covered in the article, check it out.

Boys Noize highly anticipated North American tour is about to start with 3 Canadian dates in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. To tide you over Boys Noize and Noisey released a tour diary video from his European portion of his tour:

Digital Dreams Recap Video/Ticket Info for 2013

The organizers behind Digital Dreams, one of the largest outdoor EDM events around Canada Day in the country, recently released their official recap video:

One of the best recap videos I've ever seen, well done. Tomorrowland has set the standard for these types of things but I can say that many festivals, now including Digital Dreams, have caught up.
