Tiesto 'In the Booth' Episode 6 - Tiesto does Canada (With Hardwell)

Awesome video of Tijs hitting up Canada starting with the Bal en Blanc 2011 event and with other stops in Kelowna, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Victoria. He shows a lot of love for Canada which I'm sure we all appreciate and would be really happy to see him again in 2012.

FYI - Just in case you missed Hardwell in Ottawa in late 2011 you now get your chance to check him out in Kingston on March 14th at Stages Nightclub. I'll be posting that event up soon.

Tonight: Tuesday, February 21st - Dash Berlin @ Sotto Bar & Lounge!

Another great Tuesday event for Ottawa in February as Dash Berlin (#8 ranked in the DJ Mag top 100 Poll) travels to Ottawa to play at the Sotto Bar & Lounge!

Here are a few pics I took from Resolution 12 at the Bell Centre in Montreal around 7:20 am on January 2nd, 2012 where Dash Berlin was winding up his 2 hour+ set infront a few thousand fans:

Here's my favourite Dash Berlin track of the moment - Dash Berlin - Better Half Of Me (Chris Schweizer Remix):

Swanky Tunes & Hard Rock Sofa - Feedback

Swanky Tunes & R3hab feat. Max C - Sending My Love (Original Mix) - I like it best after 1:32

Additional Notes:

  • There will be artwork sold at auction by Teebs http://vimeo.com/20106832
  • 'Fire' performances all night
  • It will be an outdoor show weather pending
Here's my rant of the day:  The 2nd line of the Mugshots Facebook event listing states: "This show will start early so everybody can make it to work the next day." THANK YOU! I really support that and really encourage all promoters to consider us working stiffs by letting them know that it's totally okay to schedule an earlier event on weeknights so that the main acts end at 11:30 pm or midnight instead of 2:30 am. And if there are some hardcore partiers who want to keep the good times going then promoters should schedule someone who would usually be a warm up DJ to do a closing set instead.
FYI - It's Sonnymoon and not Sonny Moore who is better known as Skrillex. I had to do a double take when I originally read the event listing.
Here's a little clip from Sonnymoon:
Loving the vibe.

Tomorrow: Zeds Dead @ Ritual Nightclub - Set Times/Hype

There are a few tickets left for this event tomorrow night and you can get them at Want Tickets for $35 + $6.55 Service Charges.  Zeds Dead has been literally killing it with their non stop release of solid tracks that will no doubt gather them more recognition on the international EDM stage.

Here are the set times for tomorrow's event:

10:00 pm - 10:45 pm - Ean Skizzle

10:45 pm - 11:30 pm - JC Boom

11:30 pm - 12:45 am - Bass Machines

12:45 am - 2:30 am   - Zeds Dead

Here's an interesting interview conducted by BPM tv of Zeds Dead while they were at Koohaus on Dec 11th, 2011:

Lots of interesting material covered in this interview which includes how they hustled to get known in the EDM world. tl;dr fight horde of girls to get their promo CD to Diplo, ????, profit! Well it doesn't actually down like that but check out the video to learn more.

I'll leave you with one of Zeds Dead latest releases called 'Adrenaline' which in 3 weeks has brought 800k views on youtube. Holly S**T it's a hot track! I know I've posted it before but I don't really care because I can listen to it all day:

Tomorrow: Mord Fustang @ Ritual Nightclub - don't miss it!

There are still some tickets left for this event which is a shame because this event should seriously be sold out! You can still pick up some tickets at ticketscene for $15 here. This 20-year old (He'll be 21 on Feb 21st so make sure to wish him a happy b-day!) producer from Estonia is ready to blow up so you probably wouldn't want to miss this one. For a really good write-up and preview of this event go read the official theknwldg blog.

Here's a live video of Mord Fustang playing his latest hit 'We Are Now Connected' to a packed house in Hollywood on Nov 29th, 2011:

'Lick the Rainbow' which went to #1 on Beatport in 2011:

Remember the Porter Robinson show at Ritual late last year? I wouldn't be surprised at all if Mord Fustang tears it up in pretty much the same way.

Tiesto 'In the Booth' Episode 6 - 5.5 Hour set in Romania

Why does Romania get a 5.5 hour set out of Tiesto and not Canada? I'm jealous. :( Pretty good episode this week as Tiesto resumes torturing his tour manager with popping champagne bottles in and around his head. Annnnnnnd I'm definitely going to be linking Episode 7 as Tiesto goes to Canada! Will Ottawa be mentioned? Frig I hope so.
