Gorgon City Return to Vancouver for a Pre-AETHER Celebration

By Ryan Hayes

Next Saturday, November 7th, just six days before the release of their sixth studio album, AETHER, Gorgon City will take over Vancouver's PNE Forum for their final performance before their album drops.

A new chapter on the horizon and a catalogue of modern classics set the stage for what promises to be a true celebration of house.

When House Outlasted the Weather

When Gorgon City last visited Vancouver for Open Radius in May 2025, they found themselves battling the elements.

Biting winds swept across the festival grounds while intermittent rain peppered the audience. Yet the crowd continued to swell, undeterred by the weather. House heads were out in force, and nothing was going to stand between them and the music.

Gorgon City rose to the challenge, delivering an expertly paced set that steadily built in tempo and intensity, taking the crowd on an evolving musical journey that reached new heights throughout the second half.

Music over nature. A reminder of the duo's command of the dancefloor.

A year and a half later, they're back. This time, under a roof.

Modern House Classics & Storytelling

Gorgon City occupy a distinctive space in modern house, where underground culture meets mainstream appeal. Their catalogue is rich with classics, from the darker bounce, emotionally searching depths of "Ready for Your Love" to the uplifting vocals and infectious groove of "Imagination." Two distinct moods showcasing the range of their signature sound.

Behind the decks, Gorgon City don't simply play tracks. They weave a narrative, building rhythm, tension and atmosphere into moments of euphoric release. Knowing when to push, pull back and let the music breathe, they deliver storytelling through sound—the essence of a great house set.

And the PNE Forum provides an ideal canvas.

Through Vancouver's Foundation Series, the venue has repeatedly transformed into a hot, sticky haven for house heads, synthesizing the intimacy and raw energy of an oversized underground club. A throwback to warehouse raves of old.

AETHER: A New Chapter Arrives

Adding to the anticipation is AETHER, arriving November 13, marking the duo's first independently released studio album through their own REALM Records label.

With complete creative freedom, the singles released so far suggest an exciting evolution, combining the melodic warmth and soulful identity of their earlier work with faster, more driving, dancefloor-focused production.

With the album arriving just six days later, Vancouver could be treated to a particularly inspired performance, as familiar classics meet the energy of an entirely new chapter.

The perfect moment to catch Gorgon City live

Everything points toward a special night.

With a memorable Vancouver performance to build upon. A venue that thrives on underground house energy. Well over a decade of exceptional orignals. And a new album on the verge of release.

This isn't simply another tour stop. It's an opportunity to experience Gorgon City at the threshold of their next chapter, with Vancouver hosting the final celebration before AETHER arrives.
