Canadian Music Week takes over Toronto with a huge selection of shows and a 3-day music conference

Toronto will be buzzing all week as the Canadian Music Week, Canada's premier music conference and one of the largest musical showcases in North America, takes over the city. Canadian Music Week will invite over 1000 artists from over 40 countries to play in 60 venues in Toronto - a massive undertaking that will satiate even the most hardcore music fan.

At the heart of Canadian Music Week is the 3-day music summit (April 19th - 21st) at the Sheraton hotel. The conference offers seminars, interviews, and networking opportunities for the Canadian music industry to connect and learn from each other. If you are an artist, an established industry player, or someone thinking about getting into the music industry - the 3-day summit is a must.

Every evening will be packed with special Canadian Music Week showcases happening all across the city. Here are the highlighted shows below that will appeal to lovers of electronic music:

Infected Mushroom are an Israeli duo who are no strangers to the Toronto scene. They recently came out with a brand new album this year titled "Return To the Sauce". Expect them to weave live elements into their electronic beats this Friday at the Phoenix Concert Theatre.

Destiny Events are known to bring the best and brightest in the drum and bass scene to the GTA. This Friday the Teddy Killerz (trio from Russia/Ukraine signed to RAM Records) will be appearing for the first time in Toronto at the Velvet Underground. This party runs until 4 am.
