Calvin Harris wins "Favorite Artist" for EDM at the AMAs

The American Music Awards concluded yesterday and Calvin Harris beat out Zedd and Avicii to win the "Favorite Artist - Electronic Dance Music (EDM)" category. When you look at the results page, you'll notice that the EDM category rests at the second to last result, right after the "Favorite Artist" for contemporary inspirational. 

Even though it looks like electronic dance music has hit the mainstream, it still has a long way to go before it becomes one of the more important categories at these big award shows.
