Armin Van Buuren teams up with Hardwell to create the big room banger 'Off The Hook"

Armin Van Buuren has been gracing the mainstage of all of the major festivals for the past several years and is always on the search for fresh material to play. As you might know, Armin's mainstage performances are very different to his club shows as he veers towards a mainstream sound with only a hint of trance.

This new collaboration with Hardwell titled "Off The Hook" was made for these mainstage occasions as it's easy to digest and just strong enough to elicit a proper reaction from the crowd. This track will become a solid rotation track within Hardwell's and Armin's set lists for a long time to come, enjoy:

The Mat Zo remix of Porter Robinson's "Flicker" will be the best thing you'll hear all day

Porter Robinson's "Flicker" got an A+ remix today delivered by one of the most talented young producers, Mat Zo. The track starts off without any big surprises as it gets a more distorted treatment, but pushes another level with a down tempo drum and bass beat that is simply impressive. At around the 3 minute mark we hit the crescendo as "Flicker" just growls at you through the speakers. Great track:

If you live in Ottawa, Mat Zo will be performing at Barrymore's on Friday, September 18th. Click here for more information.

Steve Angello is involved in making a brand new EDM TV drama called "The Drop"

Steve Angello is attached to a brand new EDM TV drama series called "The Drop" as an executive music producer. Bought by the CW/CBS TV Studios, the show will be set in Miami and here's a little taste of the plot:

"Set in the sexy, nonstop world of Miami’s electronic dance music scene, The Drop centers on a DJ teetering on the edge of ruin who finds hope (and more) in a gifted protégé who is female and African-American, both rarities in the EDM world."

Trying to bring the electronic dance music world onto the big screen hasn't been easy, but will Steve Angello's new project succeed? It's worth giving it a shot as Steve Angello is a veteran with a strong point of view about the scene. He doesn't need to take on new ventures at this point in his career to make a quick buck. If any artist can make an EDM TV show succeed, it's Steve Angello.

EDC Las Vegas announces 2016 dates with tickets going on sale starting on Sept. 21st

The 2016 edition of the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in Las Vegas will take place from Friday, June 17th until Sunday, June 19th, 2016. It will again be held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and tickets go on sale on Monday, September 21st. The "early owl" tickets start at a reasonable $335

If you notice the extra $31.95 tax after October 1st, Pasquale Rotella, the head of Insomniac Events, has a good explanation

✨ I’m still buzzing off the energy that all you beautiful Headliners created under the starry skies at Nocturnal, and I’m excited to announce some news about another special celebration. Tickets for EDC Las Vegas 2016—our 20th Anniversary—will go on sale Monday, September 21st at 12pm PT. In the past, ticket sales have started at various time periods. This year would be one of the earliest. Why, you ask? One of the reasons is that this summer, Nevada lawmakers signed a bill that amended the city’s Live Entertainment Tax, which has been in place since 2004 but never applied to EDC. Now it does, and it’s going to affect not just us but friends like Burning Man, too. What the change creates is basically a 9% tax on the price of admission for all tickets sold starting on October 1st, which is why we’re giving you the opportunity to buy tickets before that date. I know how much you guys sacrifice and save to make it out to EDC every year, and it’s important for me to give you as many options as possible this year. I want you all with us as we celebrate 20 Years Under the Electric Sky! For more details, click on the link in my bio. ⚡️🌼🎡 #edc #edclv #20yearsandcounting
