Last month Turbo Recordings took over the Piknic Electronik stage for a special Sunday event in Montreal that featured label boss Tiga, Thomas Von Party, Bordello, and Mike Mind. Tiga was good enough to post his live set from that party on Soundcloud with a special shout out to his hometown:
"To celebrate Saint Jean Baptiste Day, which is a big deal in our hometown of Montreal, Turbo took over Piknic Electronik for a major Quebec outdoor party vibefest. It was a blast, another in an endless sequence of amazing hometown shows that always reminds me why I still live in Montreal. Here is my closing 2 hour set in its entirety, starting with Let's Go Dancing and ending with Clouds.... with a whole bunch of good tracks in between. Thanks to Piknic, and the Turbo crew, and of course my home town. "
Martin Solveig has just uploaded a fresh new release created with Laidback Luke on Soundcloud called "Blow", check it out:
According to Martin Solveig, "Blow" started back in Australia during the Stereosonic shows in 2012:
"Luke & I started this collab in Sydney at Turning Studios in between Stereosonic 2012 shows. We finished it for Ultra but were not quite happy with it then.
We finished last week with a battle of sessions sent through yousendit, arguing about the sound of the kick drum until the day before premiere.
When I opened my Tomorrowland set with it and saw 20k people punching the sky with their fist everytime the vocal says "blow", I had the feeling this was finally ready to be shared."
No date has yet been set for the new release.
Tomorrowland may be over but that doesn't mean the good times have to stop as more videos are being uploaded that gives EDM fans worldwide a glimpse of the thrill that occurred last weekend in Belgium. The following two videos really give a sense of the excitement that was to be had on the main stage of Tomorrowland as Nicky Romero, David Guetta, and Afrojack teamed up for a special set:
Bonus video: Chuckie was also good enough to upload his set from Tomorrowland:
GRiZ and Gramatik have come together to form a new group aptly named "Grizmatik". As their first track under the new moniker, they released a great glitch hop track oozing with soul called "My People", check it out:
It's available for free download on Soundcloud, I suggest you get your copy asap.
