Madeon packed a lot of tracks in this 30 minutes mix:
Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten have been playing back to back sets since the early part of 2012 and today they have announced a formal partnership that they call 'New World Punx'. According to Ferry Corsten's website, the name fuses together Corsten's hit single 'Punk' and Markus Schulz's 'The New World'.
New World Punx (NWP) promises to be "harder, more driving and more aggressive than the melodic, euphoric style of soaring trance." As I'm a big fan of the darker side of trance I'm encouraged to hear what a NWP set will sound like.
The new collaboration will also include new tracks created under the NWP moniker as "Forthcoming releases under the NWP alias are in the works." 'Loops & Tings' was one of my favourite trance tracks of 2012 so I am eagerly awaiting what they have in store for 2013.
Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten will be making their New World Punx debut in Canada at the Bal en Blanc in Montreal at the end of the month. For ticket information click here.

For those that do not know, Bob Sinclar was one of the first French DJ/producers that gained international fame in the 1990s with hits such as 'Love Generation' and 'World, Hold On'. Fellow French DJ/producer Joachim Garraud sat down with him in L.A for an intimate interview, check it out: (Warning: It's in French but there are subtitles)
One quote that stuck with me was when Bob Sinclar explained on how he kept his sound fresh he said "if you follow the trends you're already out" because if you follow what's already hot then you're already too late. Interesting interview.
If you're interested to hear more from Bob Sinclar then check out his weekly show:

Update: Bob Sinclar was recently added to the Digital Dreams lineup that will take place on June 29th-30th in Toronto:

Here's another great new show to check out beyond Simon Patterson's 'Open Up' radio show that serves to take you down the rabbit hole to the darker side of trance:
Will Atkinson started gaining my attention since the free release of 'Watch Out (Part 2)' which is a veritable trance banger and essential to any hard hitting set. He's only 22 years old and I believe to be one of the DJs to watch under the Subculture label. If you liked John O'Callghan's set from ASOT 600 Beirut the other night, then you will enjoy what Will Atkinson has to offer because 3 of his tracks were played in that set alone, quite the accomplishment.
