Going to a festival and knowing which artists to check out is a tough choice. With multiple stages and DJs playing at the same time slot, making that choice could be the difference between having a good festival versus a great festival experience. EDM Canada has attempted to make this a little easier with what I believe to be the 24 must-see acts of the summer festival season. Use this as a guide to help you make those tough festival decisions just a little bit easier.

Flosstradamus

The hoodie boyz are a relentless trap duo from Chicago who are known to lay it down live. Flosstradamus are one of the key players that lifted trap from a little known genre to what it is today. Recently though they have shown their versatility by creating tracks like “Rebound”, a beautifully made melodic tune. With their recently released SOUNDCLASH EP, Flosstradamus have teamed up with Valentino Khan and TroyBoi to create two devastating bass tracks that will electrify the festival crowd wherever they go. Flosstradamus has developed a serious fan following that they call the HDYNATION, so if you want to find out what all of the hype is about, you better check out Flosstradamus this summer.

Festival appearances: Bestival Toronto, Ilesoniq, Fvded In The Park, Ever After Music Festival.

Tchami

Arguably the original creator of the new hot sound that's called “Future House”, this French producer is the real deal. Since his breakout remix of Janet Jackson's “Go Deep”, Tchami has been delivering solid tracks on a steady basis for the past year. His most recent track titled “After Life” is one of his best to date that meshes a powerful bass heavy drop with the robust vocals from Stacy Barthe. Tchami impressed many earlier this year at his live set from Ultra Music Festival, proving that he has skills behind decks as well as in the studio.

DJ Snake

One of the hottest acts in the game right now, DJ Snake has come a long way since releasing the “Bird Machine” for free on Mad Decent a couple of years ago. Thanks to his colossal hit “Turn Down For What”, his collabs with Major Lazer, Dillon Francis, and Zhu/DJ Mustard, this French artist is gracing every major stage and festival in the world. Productions are great, but what makes him stand out is his no holds barred shows that have been stand outs at places like Coachella. Non apologetic and taking no prisoners, DJ Snake will be sure to rip every dance floor this festival season with his own special brand of swagger.

Project 46

This Canadian duo has been sitting on a brand new album for what it seems like forever but finally they are poised to release it in time for festival season. Armed with their latest track “You”, a future house gem that brings together another classic vocal that is a Project 46 staple. If you've never seen Project 46 live, then expect a feel train as they have plenty of feel good tracks to play.

Galantis

This duo composed of Christian Karlsson, and Linus Eklow have emerged into a powerhouse group that is poised to have a breakout year in 2015. Christian is one third of Miike Snow and co-wrote a song for Christina Milian that won him a Grammy for Best Dance Recording. Linus also has a strong pedigree before Galantis as he's otherwise known as Style of Eye, and co-wrote/produced Icona Pop's #1 hit “I Love It”. Now that they have combined forces to form Galantis, dance music has never been healthier as they have already created several instant classics like “You”, “Runaway (U & I)”, and future hits such as “Gold Dust” and “Peanut Butter Jelly”. Galantis are a group on the rise and after hearing their impressive set from Ultra this year, I am left wanting more.
