Squamish Valley Music Festival Has Been Cancelled

The week of bad news continues as one of the biggest festivals in British Columbia has been cancelled. The Squamish Valley Music Festival, which featured Drake, Sam Smith, Kaskade, Porter Robinson, Odesza last year, is not returning in 2016. This is a major blow to the festival industry in Canada as Squamish was always a big named event for western Canadian music lovers to flock to during the waning summer months. Let this serve as a somber lesson for all of us: If you still want to retain a vibrant festival season every summer, then make sure to support them with your dollars this year.

TomorrowWorld Cancelled

The fallout of the SFX bankruptcy is starting show in a real way as the much hyped North American expansion of Tomorrowland to the U.S., named TomorrowWorld, has been officially cancelled. Set to take place this September near Atlanta, Georgia, TomorrowWorld had announced that they can no longer give fans the "best and unique experience" under the "current environment". Read the full release below:

It’s with a heavy heart that we inform you, TomorrowWorld will not take place in 2016. Unfortunately in the current environment, it is not possible to give you the best and unique experience you deserve.
We will miss seeing each other in September and experiencing the magic of TomorrowWorld as one. You, the People of Tomorrow, the foundation of TomorrowWorld, are our inspiration.
Let’s lock and cherish all the magnificent memories in our hearts, this is not farewell…
