Martin Garrix and DVBBS confirmed headliners for the 2016 Escapade Music Festival in Ottawa

This year's Escapade Music Festival (June 25th-26th) is building up to be a massive event as two major headliners have been announced. Martin Garrix and DVBBS both sit atop the big room world and are both heading to Ottawa just before Canada Day celebrations. Garrix has had a meteoric since the release of "Animals", while DVBBS has developed a massive following worldwide thanks to their crazy live sets and their boundless energy. The organizers behind Escapade created an impressive news spoof video announcing these two acts below and it's well worth checking out.

Gareth Emery teams up with Ben Gold to create "Until We Meet Again"

Gareth Emery is ready to drop a brand new album soon and wanted to give fans a sneak peek by dropping his collab with Ben Gold called "Until We Meet Again". Ben Gold is a long time Garuda ally, and it is great to hear some of the old Gareth sound once again. If "Until We Meet Again" is a true preview of what's to come, then we should all get excited. 

Red Bull Music Academy series heads to Montreal this fall

The Red Bull Music Academy heads back to Canada for the first time since 2007 in Toronto, and every up and coming young artist should take note. Red Bull has selected Montreal to be the host city, a vibrant, fun urban environment that loves music and is filled with excitement that will no doubt serve to inspire the attendees at this year's academy. Taking place this fall, the Red Bull Music Academy is a month-long workshop/event series that gives artists access to a world class studio to work on their craft. Past Canadian alumni include Lunice, Sinjin Hawke, Ekali, and more. Applications open starting on January 18th, click here for more information. 

Marshmello releases debut album

Marshmello surprised the world by self-releasing his debut album called Joytime. It's a collection of originals that we've mostly seen on his Soundcloud in the past year. The mysterious producer first gained notoriety by releasing catchy remixes, and has begun touring including at his Canadian debut in Vancouver not too long ago.
