Snails is back with another mix filled with IDs that will be revealed once it has had enough plays. With approximately 32 unreleased tracks, this mix has already generated over 150,000 plays in 24 hours. Not bad. Ultra Music Festival, known as one of the premier festivals in the world, has decided to ban a lot of rave gear this year. The major items that are no longer allowed include glowsticks, pacifiers, stuffed animals, facial masks, and other items like purses and bags. Here's the full list: 

No Illegal or illicit substances, drugs, or drug paraphernalia
No weapons of any kind including, but not limited to, pocket knives or self defense sprays
No flammable items or liquids including aerosols and fireworks
No markers, pens or spray paint
No backpacks, purses, or bags allowed except bags made of clear plastic, clear vinyl, or clear PVC not exceeding 13”x17”
No stuffed animals
No facial masks
No outside food or beverage including alcohol
No bottles, cans, canteens, flasks, or coolers
No opened over the counter medication or eye drops
No opened packs of cigarettes or tampons
No pacifiers, glow sticks
No balloons, balls, inflatable balls, Frisbees or flying disks
No umbrellas, chairs, blankets, sleeping bags or tents
No bicycles, skateboards, scooters, or personal motorized vehicles
No animals except for service animals assisting an individual with a disability
No large chains, chained wallets or spiked jewelry
No laser pens, laser pointers, or similar focused light devices
No water guns, squirt guns, spray bottles or misters
No musical instruments, noisemakers or air horns
No whistles
No professional cameras, flash cameras or video and audio recording equipment, or camera poles
No poles, sticks, or “totems”

Will our Canadian summer festivals follow the same guidelines this year? Time will tell.

Radio show spotlight: Gareth Emery's Electric For Life

Ever since he signaled the end of the "Gareth Emery Podcast" late last year, Gareth Emery has brought new life and new energy into his new radio show project called "Electric For Life". The new Sirius XM/podcast features a wide selection of tracks ranging from a variety of genres which makes it an eclectic listening experience.

Thankfully for long time Gareth Emery fans, he has not abandoned the trance genre as he always tries to fit in a few tracks towards the end of his show. The show has a nice arc to it as it always starts off on the chilled out side and then escalates to dancefloor bangers.
