It was a weird way to get the spotlight but I think Breaux clearly came out on top by going from 200 followers to 1200 followers in a matter of days on Twitter, gaining the attention of major blogs and fans alike. Now he has teamed up with Carnage to make a special "Festival Trap VIP" of Carnage's "Mara", check it out:

Deadmau5 shuts down his Soundcloud page

In case you didn't know, Deadmau5 will be releasing all future tracks on his own subscription service. As someone who is always keen on posting fresh Deadmau5 tunes, I have mixed feelings about this move. On the one hand I find it cool that Joel has taken the time to create a real ecosystem for his horde to find a home and interact. But on the other it means that websites like EDM Canada will basically stop posting about new Deadmau5 tunes because there is no longer a way to stream his new tunes from his site. Best of luck to Deadmau5, but closing his Soundcloud page will unfortunately mean a lot less coverage of his latest tracks moving forward.
