Seb Wheeler, the deputy digital editor at Mixmag, wrote a strong piece complaining about the increasingly formulaic nature of tech-house:

"And it’s not only niche snobs who are getting pissed off, but respectable, BBC-approved tastemakers, too. The other day, Annie Mac tweeted: “Aahhh jeez, everyone’s making droney house.” By that, we’re assuming she means the drab, uber formulaic four-to-the-floor built from over-polished percussion, mind-numbingly simple chord progressions and sappy basslines. It’s paint-by-numbers dance music and it’s coming for you."

Bolstered by the success of Pure in Edmonton, Boodang is bringing their all white party to Calgary on December 28th at the BMO Centre. The lineup has just been announced as we discover that Porter Robinson and Headhunterz will be each the headlining acts. Pure 2013 in Calgary has been divided up into two stages:

General Admission tickets are on sale now as well you can still buy VIP tickets right now.  General Admission tickets will go for $85 while VIP tickets are still $100. The VIP includes express entry, VIP area + bar service, so in my opinion if you can afford spending an extra few bucks, getting the VIP at this point is a no brainer.
