Ben UFO, aka Ben Thomson, is the latest DJ to be invited to mix the 2 hour long BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. Why should you tune in? Because he made it as a DJ without having any productions of his own. This is a rare accomplishment as the importance on creating your own productions seems like the only way for young talent these days to get noticed. So if I were you, I'd tune in and find out why Ben UFO is such a good curator of the U.K underground sound.

According to inthemix, the Indian authorities interrupted Dash Berlin's set for an ill-timed work visa check. Dash has since re-emphasized his love for India as he continued his tour at the Sunburn Noidia 2013 the next night: (fast forward to the 3 hour mark)

Hopefully the rest of Dash's tour goes on without a hitch.

The 3-day Escapade Music Festival that took place over Canada Day Weekend in the Nation's Capital has posted their official after movie this week, check it out:

The dates have been revealed for the 2014 edition of Escapade which will take place from June 28th-29th, 2014. There will also be a special festival date called "Escapade Does O'Canada" set for Canada Day. Pre-sale tickets will go on sale on November 15th.  

The lineup for the 2 day Contact Winter Music Festival in Vancouver has been revealed

Blueprint Events and Live Nation are going big this year by making the Contact Winter Music Festival a 2-day event which will take place at B.C Place on December 26th and 27th. The DJ lineup is impressive as this year's Contact festivities will include Skrillex and Kaskade as the big headliners.

For Vancouver fans disappointed that Skrillex was not able to organize the Full Flex Tour this year will rejoice that the OWSLA boss will be gracing Vancouver this winter. The rest of the lineup looks like a nice mix of heavyweight DJ/Producers that will be sure to attract a wide range of fans that are wanting to rage at a big indoor stadium event to get away from the cold.
