Porter is one of these DJs that bring something new to the table whenever you hear him live. His fast edits, mashups, and quick cuts between tracks is what makes his live sets stand out. So to be able to listen to a brief explanation on how he makes that happen using the S4 is something I found quite interesting.

When A Tribe Called Red tweeted out this Boreal Sun remix of their own track for "Bread & Cheese" featuring Black Bear, I was addicted. Boreal Sun captured the essence of the original but added his own flavour on top that makes it impossible not to groove along. The entire track is available to free download, check it out:

The 3 track release includes a special Monoloc edit and a Skudge version of "Try" that each bring a different angle to the original. I am addicted to the drum beat and power derived from the special edit, which I find is absolutely perfect to play to ensure a thumping dance floor.
