Avicii dominates the Canadian iTunes charts following the release of "True"

Avicii latest album "True" has been out for barely 24 hours in Canada yet it has already claimed the number one spot on the iTunes Dance charts. His domination doesn't end there as "Wake Me Up" is still the number one dance track while "You Make Me", Avicii's second release off of "True", is currently fifth on the charts:

Update: @VanCityDanceNrd alerted me that Avicii's "True" is currently the #1 selling album in Canada right now. That's big.  

Avicii is also coming to Toronto this weekend to play at a completely sold out show. So it's fair to say that it's been a great week so far for the young Swedish DJ/Producer.

Amazon vinyl sales up 745 percent in the past 5 years

As reported by The Verge:  

         

"Here's more fodder for those who argue that a large number of consumers still want physical media: vinyl sales at Amazon are up 745 percent from five years ago, the company said this morning. "Vinyl is the fastest growing music medium on Amazon," the company stated."

 

It's a cool stat but unfortunately vinyls still only compose 2% of the entire market.
