Calling all DJs/Producers: Watch this keynote interview with Bob Lefsetz

Bob Lefsetz is a veteran in the music business that has garnered a lot of attention by his provocative email newsletter called the Lefsetz letter. He may be new to the whole electronic dance music scene but he delivered a no-holds barred talk with Pete Tong at IMS Ibiza that is well worth watching. Bob Lefsetz offers up solid advice for DJs/Producers who are trying to make it in the music business. His no filtered approach to public speaking is a lot of fun to watch, check it out:

Listen to Paul McCartney's and The Bloody Beetroots "Out of Sight"

Link - You can only listen to the new track on Rolling Stone.

Some sites are claiming that this track is Paul McCartney's entry into electronic dance music but it really doesn't resonate to me as being anywhere close. I liken the track as being a more raw,  stripped down rock and roll version of Madeon's "Finale". I like Rifo and McCartney's "Out of Sight", but let's not call it EDM.

Is Q-Dance coming to Canada?

As reported by inthemix:

"In its presentation, the company also revealed plans to bring its hardstyle flagship Q-dance to three North American sites, which according to a map graphic appear to be in California, Texas and Canada. "

This tidbit of information was gained at a recent media event in New York organized by ID&T, who are behind such major EDM festivals like Tomorrowland, Sensation, and Mysteryland to name a few. Q-Dance is a major hardstyle event organizer behind the famous Defqon.1 festival, which has a massive following in Europe. Could it be possible to see a Defcon.1 in Canada? If so, expect it to be located in Western Canada as hardstyle acts have consistently found an audience in cities such as Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver.
