Sad news: The legendary Manchester club Sankeys is closing its doors after May 6th

​..."David Vincent explains, “I have decided to close Sankeys in Manchester indefinitely this summer as I focus my attention on our third year in Ibiza. I want our Ibiza project to be the best club in the world, just like what we have achieved previously in Manchester, as I get the feeling this could be our summer. But I need my production and staff from Manchester to come to Ibiza with me to achieve this goal and therefore both clubs cannot be open at the same time. Who knows when we will be back in Manchester, or if we ever will be back, or what comes next in this great city I love. I want this current chapter of the club’s history to end with a spectacular party, so we are rounding off the May bank holiday with a huge line-up. It’s an 12 hour marathon set from 1pm to 1am on Monday 6th, with a stellar cast of names and the Sankeys Manchester residents, in the spirit of our epic 12-hour Tenaglia sessions.”
.... "We have made our name in Manchester as The World’s Best Club in the DJ Mag Awards 2010, and the Sankeys spirit will live on there. I want to say huge thanks all of the DJs, live acts, promoters and agents that I have worked with, and all of the Sankeys staff who have helped shape the club during the last 13 years. And most importantly, Sankeys simply wouldn’t exist without our loyal crowd who have made us what we are today, and I want to say thanks to every one of you. Finally, all I can say right now about what happens next is quite simply: watch this space....​"

​Sad to see the famed UK club shutting its doors after May 6th. Hopefully this news won't mean the ultimate end of Sankeys following the Ibiza season.

Phase 2 lineup for Digital Dreams Music Festival in Toronto will be released today! *Updated

​The Digital Dreams Music Festival is set to take place on June 29th & 30th in Toronto and will feature a diverse lineup from superstars such as Tiesto, Richie Hawtin, Paul Van Dyk and other great acts like Fake Blood, Doctor P, and Noisia that don't travel to Canada too often. There was something for everybody in the phase 1 lineup announcement, but with the Phase 2 lineup which is set to be released today at noon, the anticipation to see what Electronic Nation has in store for us is building up. With an already impressive lineup for Digital Dreams, I cannot wait to see if Electronic Nation can hit it out of the park tomorrow with the phase 2 lineup. ​

Tickets for the Digital Dreams Music Festival are now on sale for $129 for a 2-day General Admission pass or $199 for a 2-day VIP pass.

*Update: Wolfgang Gartner was the first name added to the phase 2 lineup. Digital Dreams will be announcing daily lineup additions over the next few days. ​
