Did Dubstep peak?

DJZ has done a little research using Google Trends and found out that the keyword search for "dubstep" peaked in 2011 and has been declining ever since.

One interesting bellwether signal is that Zeds Dead, the Toronto duo known for such hard hitting bass, has taken a big step to diversify their sound with their latest 'Hot Sauce' EP. Whether this is a one-off or a sign of a bigger change in the EDM landscape will be seen with time.
