New drug could reverse 'permanent' deafness
/In about 10-20 years I think a lot of people will be seeking some way to restore their hearing after attending one too many EDM shows without earplugs.

René Pawlowitz, aka Shed, has quickly become one of my favourite producers in the second half of 2012 thanks to his massive album titled 'The Killer':
Here are two stand out tracks from an album I consider to be the best of 2012:
Shed - Day After:
Shed - Phototype:
The entire album takes you on a journey through the unique sounds that have become associated with Shed's productions.
Now that you are a little familiar with Shed you should take a look at this unusual interview filmed entirely while René was driving a car around his hometown of Schwedt:
I found his views on the importance of melodies to be quite interesting. Also the fact that he doesn't use any hardware for his productions is another one that upcoming producers should take note of.
Shed will be one of the producers that I will be paying close attention to in 2013 and beyond.
Here's are two pictures from the Bassnectar NYE event in Nashville, TN:
Bassnectar managed to sell out the 20,000 capacity seating at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN, which is considered to be the music capital for country music.
These two photos show that EDM is to be enjoyed by everyone and not simply for the crowds in New York, California, and Miami. This music that we love has electrified crowds all over the world without the need (for the most part) of major labels and top 40 radio station support. Electronic dance music is here to stay, hopefully for a long time.

If these pictures are any indication of how good it was on the Holy Ship this year then I think many of us have missed out...Big time.
