Nero Re-Releases Album with 2 new tracks + New Tour with 2 Canadian Dates Announced

Ever since I saw Nero back in July in Toronto for the IDentity Festival I've had a real musical love affair with the UK group by re-listening to their 2011 album 'Welcome to Reality' multiple times and watching their brilliant videos online. Since their album release Nero have become active again on the production front by creating a new bootleg of Die Antwoord's track called 'Fok Julie Naaiers' that you can download for free from Soundcloud.

Today they have announced that they will re-release the smash hit 'Welcome to Reality' album with two brand new tracks and Skrillex's remix of 'Promises'. Not bad. For those that haven't had a chance Nero live yet they have announced a new North American mini-tour that includes Canadian dates in Toronto and Montreal:

I'm very tempted to see Nero at one of these two dates because they are so brilliant live. They have a few new tracks under their belt to try out at these events so it might be worth your while to get yourself a ticket. The new reboot of the 'Welcome To Reality' album will be available on October 22nd.

Kandi Kids explained by EDM Snob

Here's an excerpt:

Being a kandi kid is about channeling the kid you used to be. Kandi kids take the psychology of the inner child and make it the outer child. That’s why cartoons, stuffed animals, sweets and bright colors are the norm. The idea is, the world would be a much better place if we kept intact the mindset we had when we were little. Children don’t pick their playground friends based on clothes, skin color or gender. Kids just want to have fun. They value people for who they are (and how high they can swing, of course).

Wearing interesting beads with messages on your wrist is cool, but the whole pacifier in the mouth look for men is something I never got. It's a good read to get yourself educated though.

Official Tomorrowland 2012 After Movie

Here's the official after movie of the 3 day event in Europe:

336,000+ Youtube views and the video was only released yesterday, that's impressive in itself. My favourite part comes around the 15 minute mark.

Tomorrowland probably holds the crown as the premiere EDM festival in the world but the guys from Insomnia are no slouches and I would expect them to up the ante for Vegas in 2013.

FYI - The soundtrack to this after movie was done by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike who will be performing in Vancouver on September 28th.

Ever wondered why Dada Life are obsessed with Bananas? (Dada Life Canadian Tour Dates)

Dada Life sat down with the Food Republic to answer the old age Dada Life question:

Taste-wise, they are actually terrible together. It came from us needing energy when we're DJing. We always had them on the rider — bananas for potassium to keep us going, and champagne for keeping your head bubbly. It’s the perfect combination. You can’t have an apple in a club — it'll get slippery and gross — but a banana is perfect because you open it up and it’s all fresh inside. It's impossible to eat a sandwich in a club because it would get so dirty. Clubs are the grimiest places on earth.

With a brand new album on the way, Dada Life will be undertaking a MASSIVE tour that includes a many Canadian dates (thank you!). If these gigs are half as good as one of my favourite event recap videos below then it's going to be a really good time:

Porter Robinson & Zedd Previews their 'Poseidon Tour' with a Video

Porter Robinson and Zedd will soon take their back to back tour on the road with 18 stops but only one Canadian date:

Real shame that there aren't more Canadian dates, can you tell that I'm bitter?

For those lucky enough to be living in Vancouver you can check them out on October 7th with Dirty South and Tommy Trash at the Vancouver Convention Centre. You can also see Zedd who will be making his Ottawa debut on October 23rd at the Liquor Store.
