What was the most played track at Electric Zoo according to Dancing Astronaut?

Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash - Reload:

I bet it will go straight to #1 on Beatport when it is officially released on September 21st.

Bonus: Speaking of the Electric Zoo festival here's what EDM Snob said about the experience:

He first called New York City a "magical place" but then 3 paragraphs later he referred to NYC as "the most detached and emotionless cities in the world".

In respect to the festival itself he stated "Electric Zoo is one of those festivals that leaves you in awe of the power of experience". But when compared to Ultra Music Festival, EDC and Sensation he stated that Electric Zoo was "painfully ordinary". "As a result, there were relative lulls in each day where I saw people in a state I call “active boredom”; they were walking around just for the sake of moving."

I like EDM Snob but I found this review to be a little harsh.

Vibe: David Guetta played "Underground Electronic Music" at Electric Zoo

According to Vibe David Guetta is a "raw and really dope DJ" and "played underground electronic music that he produced himself" at Electric Zoo this year. I find it hard to contain my laughter when the words "raw" and "underground" are associated with David Guetta. To come to your own opinion on the matter here's Guetta's full live set at Electric Zoo:

What do you think of the "Parisian maestro of mixing" Electric Zoo set?

Getting to Know the DJ Gospel

The DJ Gospel has been one of my favourite EDM Twitter accounts ever since I started following the scene because he says it like it is and most of his (or her) thoughts are insightful.

The DJ Gospel gave an interview that answered a few things like his mission statement, why he remains anonymous, and whether or not he's actually a DJ.

His Twitter handle is @TheDJGospel, check him (or her) out.

Coldharbour Night returns to Circus Afterhours in Montreal tonight!

There's another Coldharbour night coming to Montreal tonight and for those living in Montreal it should not be missed. Here's what happened the last time the guys from Coldharbour Recordings visited Montreal back in April:

I was able to make a special trip over to Montreal to see this event and got there just in time to catch the second half of Grube & Hovsepian's progressive set.

Arnej eased into his 4 hour set with some more popular Trance tunes like Gareth Emery's Concrete Angel.

But after half an hour or so things got dark really quickly as Arnej started upping the BPMs by dropping a few tech trance bangers including one of my favourites of 2012 'True Lies'.

Overall it was a great night, lots of dancing, and plenty of dark Trance beats to sustain me for a good long while.

Tonight the guys from Coldharbour Recordings will be making a return to Circus Afterhours in Montreal with Trance producing superstar KhoMha, Romanian Trance DJ/Producer Mr. Pit, and Montreal's own Project Offset. Tickets are $20.
