So today at noon the tickets for Paul Van Dyk's show on April 13th went on sale and according to DNA Presents the early bird tickets sold out in about 10 minutes. If that's not a ringing endorsement for trance in Ottawa then I don't know what is.
As anyone that has been reading this blog for any amount of time you would know by now that I'm a big fan of Leon Bolier and last weekend he was a last minute fill in for Armins' ASOT 550 live event in Kiev as Mat Zo was sick. Leon decided to share his live set on soundcloud which I had the pleasure to listen to tonight as I was updating this site:

For me the highlights of his set were Jacob Van Hage's 'Convoi' and 'Vegeance Vengeance' by Leon Bolier later in the night.

For those that do not know Leon Bolier I think this guy is one of the best there in the EDM business and has a particuliar talent of driving the dancefloor nuts with his track selection. I would say hands down best 2 hour set of 2011 was on New Years Eve at Circus Afterhours in Montreal when Leon Bolier took the decks.

Tiesto thinks that his event production is the largest of any EDM artist in the world.....I'm sure Deadmau5 has something to say about that.
Over the last year I've come to rely almost exclusively on podcasts to listen to the latest releases and find the latest information about my favourite DJs. By listening to these podcasts week in and week out you get to have an appreciation of each individual sound and music genre. Markus Schulz Global DJ Broadcast - Each episode delivers a free 2 hour live set, what's there not to love?
Tiesto's Club Life Podcast - I give Tiesto's podcast top marks for giving me individual track listings which allows me to quickly skim to the tracks that I want to hear.
