The CEO of Beatport, Mathew Adell took to Reddit last week for one of the more interesting AMA (Ask Me Anything) sessions that I've read all year. When someone of the of "Pandaura" asked him which genres had the biggest volume of sales and whether he detected any shift happening within the biggest electronic dance music genres, he replied:
"BeatportCEO: House Music is gaining ground. Dubstep is in decline."
Earlier this year I posted an open question on whether Dubstep has reached its peak, but now with the Beatport CEO now confirming what some people have suspected, it would seem that the decline is now more real than ever.
