Marten Weber, a writer for the Huffington Post, and a self-confessed classical music fan who has listened exclusively to the genre for the past 20 years has recently written a post comparing Armin Van Buuren to classical genius Johan Sebastian Bach:
"I discovered trance by accident. I was at a bar with some friends, and "Intense" came on. The violin caught my attention, and it suddenly hit me: This is the structure of a baroque concerto. Bach's music and van Buuren's trance compositions are essentially the same thing...So I wondered: Was Bach the first trance composer?"
It's a pretty fascinating article because you get to read someone writing about Armin's compositions who has no background in electronic dance music, only in classical music. Click here to read the rest of the article.
